Hey,

My name is Robbert van Zuiden and as Lucid Modular I make modules & accessories for your modular synthesizer, studio or live-setup. All products I design & sell are born from a need in using my hardware in both live & studio setups.

My background

Since a young age I've been a tinkerer. Building computers, creating websites, soldering, building things in the garage, et cetera. I like to learn by doing. Professionally I've been involved with publishing and both designing and building digital products like websites and mobile apps. With Lucid Modular I'm able to integrate my interests in music, programming and creating new things.

Design goals

I like simple modules that extend the use of other components within an existing setup. I focus on designing hands-on interfaces. I love digital modules but generally dislike menus, screens and button combinations.

Check out ROBOTPOOLPARTY. We're an energetic duo that make bass-heavy electronic music with a modular system, 808, Mellotron and a few DFAMs. We create interesting rhythms with our 'Alt-Groove', a self-proclaimed technique based on negatively syncopated grooves.
